Mathematickle
I think mathematics
Has pluses and minuses,
Just like our faces have
Nostrils and Sinuses.
Multiplication,
A sign of the times,
Results in great products,
And not just for rhymes.
Over and under,
By and by with precision,
The one that remains
Is known as division.
Adding it up
I’m quite overcome,
Accruing has much greater
Impact than sum.
A take-away from subtraction,
Which has no equivalents,
Is all that is left;
It has made all the difference.
Multiplies, adds,
Subtracts and divisors;
Math’s operands are life’s
Great equalizers.
